Terms of Use

In plain words

ManyToFly ranks places for a group to meet, using cached prices that are indicative rather than live. It is a decision tool, not a travel agency: it sells nothing, books nothing and holds no money.

The prices you see are a strong hint about where to go, not a quote. Before anyone commits, check the fare on the airline's or booking site's own page.

01Who this is between, and who may use it.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [[LEGAL_NAME]], [[ADDRESS]] ("we", "us") covering your use of the ManyToFly mobile app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please delete it.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. The app is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed at children.

02The most important clause here. What the app is, and what it is not.

What ManyToFly is

You enter the home cities of everyone travelling and a range of dates. The app ranks destination cities by what the whole group would pay together, shows what each traveller's share would be, and lets you compare journey times and stops.

What it is not

  • Not a travel agency and not a booking engine. We do not sell flights, issue tickets, hold reservations, or take payment of any kind.
  • Not a quote. Nothing shown in the app is an offer capable of acceptance, and no price is guaranteed to be available when you go to book it.
  • Not a live fare search. See §03, which is the clause that matters most.

We are not party to any travel contract you enter into afterwards. Your booking is between you, the airline and whichever site you booked through.

03Where the numbers come from, and what they are worth.

Prices are indicative and cached

The app says so on every screen that shows one, and it means it: "Indicative prices from cached searches, shown in your currency. They are not live fares and can change before you book."

The figures come from searches other travellers ran recently, collected through our data partner and stored so that a comparison across dozens of destinations is possible at all — a live search across every candidate city for five travellers would take minutes and would not be a usable app. The trade-off is that a price can be stale, sold out, or simply gone.

We try to be straight with you about this rather than bury it:

  • Every result carries the age of its price, in plain words such as "updated 7h ago".
  • Results are flagged when any price in the set is more than two days old.
  • Prices older than three days are excluded from the ranking altogether.
  • Where a departure city has no cached prices at all, the app tells you so instead of returning an empty screen.

Fares are also converted into your chosen currency using recent reference rates, so what you see may differ from what your card is finally charged. Treat every number as a starting point for a decision, and verify before you commit money.

04What happens when you tap through, and how we get paid.

Booking, and our commission

When you choose to check live fares, we open your browser at our travel partner's site with the route and dates filled in. Everything after that — availability, the real price, baggage, changes, cancellation, refunds and any dispute — is governed by that site's terms and the airline's, not ours.

The link identifies ManyToFly as the referrer, and if you book we may earn a commission. We think you should know two things about that. It costs you nothing: the price is the same as going there directly. And it does not buy position: destinations are ranked by what the group pays, never by what we earn, and no airline or agency can pay to appear.

05What the app costs today, and what happens if that changes.

What you pay us

Nothing. ManyToFly is free to download and use, carries no advertising, and has no subscription. The commission described in §04 is how it is funded.

If we later introduce a paid tier, it will be sold through the App Store or Google Play, the price and what it includes will be shown before you buy, and these terms will be updated with the subscription and cancellation detail before anything is charged. Existing features that are free today will not become chargeable retroactively.

06What you may and may not do with the app itself.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own travel planning. The app, its design and its ranking remain ours.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except to the extent that applicable law says you may despite this clause.

07The short list of things that get access withdrawn.

Acceptable use

Use the app as a person planning a trip. Do not:

  • Access it by script, bot, scraper or emulator farm, or automate searches at a rate no traveller would produce.
  • Extract, republish or resell the price data, the rankings or the city and coverage data, whether by hand or in bulk.
  • Attempt to break, overload or circumvent any limit, or to reach parts of our backend not exposed by the app.
  • Use it unlawfully, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights.

We may block access that does any of these, and the price data itself is licensed to us by our partner on terms that require it.

08Things break, coverage moves.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep ManyToFly working but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. It depends on a third-party fare source and may be interrupted, rate-limited or changed without notice. We may add, alter, suspend or discontinue features, and may stop supporting older operating system versions.

Coverage moves in both directions. Cities gain cached prices as people search for them and can lose them again, so a route that worked last month may not be available today. The coverage screen inside the app always reflects the current state.

We may amend these terms. Material changes take effect when published here with a new effective date, and continued use afterwards constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app.
